i. Polarity is 5′-3′ ; — AUG GUA AUC CUA— 

ii. DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, catalyses transcription of mRNA. The strand of DNA with polarity acts as the template. The RNA polymerase binds to the promoter site and starts the process of transcription.
