A particle experiences a constant acceleration for 20 sec after starting from rest. If it travels distance `S_1` in the first 10 sec and a distance `S_2` in the next 10 sec, Then
A. (a) ` S_2 = 2 S)1`
B. (b) S_2 =3 S_1`
C. (c ) ` S_1 = 2 S_2`

Correct Answer - B
Here, `u=0, t= 10 s, a=a (say)
` S=S-1 . As ` S=ut+ 1/2 at^@`
` S_1 =0 xx 10 + 1/2 a (10) ^@ = 50 a` ….(i)
` Taking motion of particle for ` 10 s + 10 s = 20 s`,
(S0_1 +S_2) =0 xx 20 + 1/2 xx a xx 920)^2 = 200 a ` …(ii)
:. ` s_2 =(S-20 - S_1 =200 a- 50 a= 150 a`
:. ` S_2/S_1 = ( 150 a)/(50 a) = 3 or S-2 = 3 S-1`.
