Species which are harmful to the human beings can be deliberately made extinct e.g. HIV, Polio virus and small pox because their extinction would not affect the equilibrium of ecosystem.
WHO campaign against the small pox virus has resulted successfully in the extinction and complete eradication of this virus and the disease caused by it.
