Correct option is (B) 2

Given that  x, x+2 & x+6 are three consecutive terms in G.P.

\(\therefore b^2=ac\)

\(\Rightarrow(x+2)^2=x(x+6)\)

\(\Rightarrow x^2+4x+4=x^2+6x\)

\(\Rightarrow6x-4x=4\)

\(\Rightarrow2x=4\)

\(\Rightarrow x=\frac42=2\)
