20 - 39 19.5 - 39.5 20 (f0)
40 - 59 39.5 - 59.5 (l) 23 (f1)
60 - 79 59.5 - 79.5 22 (f2)

39.5 - 59.5 is the model class interval.

Mode = \(l + \left(\frac {f_1 - f_0}{2f_1 - f_0-f_2}\right) \times h\)

\(= 39.5 + \left(\frac {23 - 20}{2\times 23 - 20 -22}\right) \times 20\)

\(= 39.5 + \left(\frac 3{46 - 20 - 22}\right) \times 20\)

\(= 39.5 + \frac 34 \times 20 \)

\(= 39.5 + 15\)

\(= 54.5\)
