Remove small word from question volume of cube whose edge length is 4 cm is v = a3 = 43 = 64 cm3.

∴ volume of 8 equal cubes whose edge length are 4 cm = 8 v = 8 × 64 = 512 cm3.

Since, given cube is cut in 8 equal cubes of each edge is 4 cm.

Therefore, volume of given cube = 8 × volume of one cube whose edge length is 4 cm.

= 8 × 43 = 8 × 64 = 512 cm3.
