Correct Answer - Option 1 : On the shape of the pot

The correct answer is option 1

Fluid pressure does not depend on the shape of the pot.

  • If gravitational effect = 0, The pressure at each point inside the fluid is the same.
  • If gravitational effect = Present, Fluid pressure increases with depth.
  • Effect on melting point - Substances that increase volume due to the effect of heat, their melting point also increases when pressure is increased. Example – Wax
  • Substances that reduce volume due to the effect of heat, their melting point also decreases when pressure is increased. Example – Ice
  • Effect on boiling point - The boiling point of all the fluids increases by increasing the pressure.
