The correct answer is 348 (1).

  • As per Article 348 (1) of the Constitution of India, English is the official language for all the high courts in the country.  
  • Article 348(1) stipulates the use of English in the Supreme Court and High Courts as well as for drafting Bills, Acts and Orders.
    • Article 348(2) read with Section (7) of the Official Languages Act 1963 provides for Hindi or other official languages to be used in High Courts “in addition to English”.

  • Article 329A of the Constitution of India
    • Special provision as to elections to Parliament in the case of Prime Minister and Speaker.
  • 315 (1) of the Constitution of India
    • Subject to the provisions of this article, there shall be a Public Service Commission for the Union and a Public Service Commission for each State.
  • 336 (1) of the Constitution of India
