Correct Answer - Option 2 : Delhi - Panipat

The correct answer is Delhi- Panipat.

  • The length of the Delhi-Panipat Corridor of RRTS is going to be 103km and it will comprise 17 stations.
  • Out of which 6 will be in Delhi and 11 in Haryana.
  • The construction of the corridor will be undertaken in two stages:-
    • Sarai Kale Khan to Murthal, Murthal depot inclusive (58.28 km),
    • Murthal to Panipat, Panipat depot inclusive (44.74 km)

  • This project will enable a smooth and effective movement of the huge number of people into the congested places and provide effective links to the residents of urban/suburban areas of Haryana to access services and facilities of cities.

  • The state government's share for the project costs Rs 4,699 crore.
  • The Cabinet authorized the State Government of Haryana to approve any of the modifications.
  • A nodal officer is appointed for the signing of agreements with NCRTC for the smooth implementation of the project.
