Correct Answer - Option 1 : 46.66%

Given:

In a test consisting of 140 questions, a candidates correctly answered 70% of the first 80 questions.

Concept used:

Percentage

Calculation:

Total questions = 140

To score 60% in the test = (3/5) × 140 = 84

70% of first 80 questions fetch

⇒ (70/100) × 80 = 56

He needs to score : 84 - 56 = 28 marks

He needs to score 28 marks from the remaining sixty questions.

Now, Let the % be x in the remaining questions that is 60

⇒ \(\frac{x}{{100}} \times 60 = 28\)

⇒ x = 140/3

∴ Ans : 46.66 %
