Correct Answer - Option 2 : a√3

Concept:

Altitude of an equilateral triangle = (√3/2) × side   ------(1)

Area of an equilateral triangle = (√3/4) × (side)2  

Calculation:

Given side of equilateral triangle = 2a

then from eqn (a),

Altitude of an equilateral triangle = (√3/2) × 2a = a√3
