Correct Answer - Option 3 : the education system

The correct answer is the education system.

  • The Indian Universities Commission was a body appointed in 1902 on the instructions of Lord Curzon which was intended to make recommendations for reforms in University education in India.

  • The Viceroy filled with the imperialistic design was not in favor of giving any power to the Indians.
    • He concluded the Indian Universities and the colleges were slowly becoming the cradle of Propaganda against the Government.
    • So, with an idea to bring the Universities under control, Lord Curzon appointed Raleigh Commission under Sir Thomas Raleigh.

    • This commission submitted its report in 1902 and this followed the introduction of a Bill called the Raleigh Bill. The Raleigh Bill when became an act, it was called Indian Universities Act 1904.
