Correct Answer - Option 3 : 30,000

Given

After selling a television at a 6% profit and a fridge at a 9% profit, a shopkeeper gains Rs. 5,100

When the shopkeeper sells the television at a 9% profit and the fridge at a 6% loss, he gains Rs. 1,800 on the whole transaction

Formula used

CP(1 + P/100) = SP

CP = Cost Price

SP = Selling Price

P = Profit

Calculation

Let price of T.V be Rs.x and Fridge be Rs.y

⇒ According to question,

⇒ 6x/100 + 9y/100 = 5100

⇒ 3/100(2x + 3y) = 5100

⇒ 2x + 3y = 170000    ----(i)

⇒ 9x/100 - 6y/100 = 1800

⇒ 3/100(3x - 2y) = 1800

⇒ 3x - 2y = 60000    ----(ii)

On solving equation i and ii

⇒ 6x + 9y = 510000    ----(iii)

⇒ 6x - 4y = 120000    ----(iv)

On subtraction both equation (iii) and (iv) we get,

⇒ 13y = 390000

⇒ y = 30000

∴ Cost of Fridgeis Rs.30000
