Correct Answer - Option 3 : Altimeter

The correct answer is Altimeter.

  • Altimeter instrument in the cockpit of an aircraft shows the pilot the altitude above sea level. The altimeter is an instrument that measures the height of an aircraft above a given pressure level
  • An altimeter is an instrument which is used to measure the altitude of an object above a fixed level. The measurement of altitude is known as altimetry.
  • There are two main types of altimeter which are the pressure altimeter and the radio altimeter. Pressure altimeter is used for measuring atmospheric pressure and Radio altimeter is used for a radio wave signal to travel.

  •  A compass is a tool for finding direction.
  • The airspeed indicator uses part of the aircraft's pitot-static system to measure and compare the dynamic air pressure between air moving into the pitot tube and static air pressure.
  • The heading indicator is a flight instrument used in an aircraft to inform the pilot of the aircraft's heading.
