Correct Answer - Option 3 : 90

Given:

Total voters in village = 2000

The ratio of male to female invalid voters = 11 : 9

The ratio of male to female who cast their votes = 11 : 9

Concept used:

Total number of voters = {Total number of casted votes/(100 – Percentage of voters did not cast their votes)} × 100

Concept used:

Number of females who did not cast their votes = Total number of female voters – Total number of female voters who cast their votes

Calculation:

Male voters in the village = (2000/20) × 11

⇒ 1100

Female voters in the village = (2000/20) × 9

⇒ 900

Number of voters who cast their votes = 2000 × (90/100)

⇒ 180000/100

⇒ 1800

Number of male voters who cast their votes = (1800/20) × 11

⇒ 19800/20

⇒ 990

Number of female voters who cast their votes = (1800/20) × 9

⇒ 16200/20

⇒ 810

Number of females who did not cast their votes = 900 – 810

⇒ 90

∴ The number of females who did not cast their votes is 90.
