Given sets 

A = {6, 9, 11} and ∅ = { } 

A ∪ ∅ = {6, 9, 11} ∪ { } 

= {6, 9, 11} = A

∴ A ∪ ∅ = A 

A ∩ ∅ = {6,9,11} ∩ { } = { } = ∅

 ∴ A ∩ ∅ = ∅
