Correct Answer - Option 4 : × and –

1) ÷ and –

Given expression : 64 ÷ 4 + 4 – 4 × 7 = 25

After replacing the symbols by their meaning, we get :

L.H.S = 64 – 4 + 4 ÷ 4 × 7

= 60 + 1 × 7

= 67

= 67 ≠ R.H.S

2) ÷ and +

Given expression : 64 ÷ 4 + 4 – 4 × 7 = 25

After replacing the symbols by their meaning, we get :

L.H.S = 64 + 4 ÷ 4 – 4 × 7

= 64 + 1 – 28

= 37

= 37 ≠ R.H.S

3) + and -

Given expression: 64 ÷ 4 + 4 – 4 × 7 = 25

After replacing the symbols by their meaning, we get :

L.H.S = 64 ÷ 4 – 4 + 4 × 7

= 16 – 4 + 28

= 40

= 14 ≠ R.H.S

4) × and –

Given expression: 64 ÷ 4 + 4 – 4 × 7 = 25

After replacing the symbols by their meaning, we get :

L.H.S = 64 ÷ 4 + 4 × 4 – 7

= 16 + 16 – 7

= 32 – 7

= 25 = R.H.S

Hence, ’ × and –’ is the correct answer.
