Solve the given pair of linear equations,

\(\frac{x+1}{2}+\frac{y-1}{3}=8\)

\(\frac{x-1}{3}+\frac{y+1}{2}=9\)

Given: 

\(\frac{x+1}{2}+\frac{y-1}{3}=8\)

⇒ 3x + 2y + 1 = 48 

⇒ 3x + 2y = 47 …… (1)

\(\frac{x-1}{3}+\frac{y+1}{2}=9\)

⇒ 2x + 3y + 1 = 54 

⇒ 2x + 3y = 53 …… (2)

⇒ y = -65/-5 = 13 

Substituting y = 13 in equation (1) we get 

3x + 2(13) = 47 

⇒ 3x = 47 – 26

⇒ 3x = 21 

⇒ x = 21/3 = 7 

∴ The solution (x, y) = (7, 13)
