Best answer

A = {5, 7}, B = {6, 7, 8, 9}

A – B = {5, 6, 7} – {6, 7, 8, 9}

= {5, 6, 7, 8, 9} = {5}

A – (A – B) = {5, 6, 7} – {5} = {6, 7}

A ∩ B – {5, 6, 7} ∩ {6, 7, 8, 9} = {6, 7}

We observe that A – (A – B) = A ∩ B.
