Steps of construction:

1. Draw a line segment AB = 5.4 cm.

2. Draw the perpendicular bisector \(\overleftrightarrow {XY}\) of AB.

3. Take any point P on \(\overleftrightarrow {XY}\).

4. With P as centre and PA as radius draw a circle. 

5. Let Q be another point on XY.

6. Draw the circle (Q, \(\overline {QA}\)).
