3 hrs : 1 hr. 30 min 

3 × 60 : (1 × 60) + 30 

(∵ 1 hr = 60 min; 3h = 3 × 60 = 180 min)

180 min : 60 + 30 min

2 : 1 

∴ 3 hrs : 1 hr. 30 min = 2:1
