India made an agreement with the Chinese Prime Minister Chau-in-lai in 1954 A.D. This agreement was based on five principles. These principles are given below :
- To accept peaceful co-existence.
- Not to attack each other.
- Not to interfere in each other’s matter.
- To obey the concept of equality and cooperation for mutual interests.
- To respect mutual sovereignty and regional integrity.
