Hinduism : Sanatana Dharma.

The origin of the Hindu religion is unknown. It is said to have developed between the years 500 BC to 300 BC. There is a division of time according to the Hindu beliefs, mainly the Sanatana Dharma. According to the Sanatana Dharma, there are four stages – Satyug, Dwaparyug, Tretayug, and Kaliyug. According to the timeline, the world that we are currently living in is Kaliyug.

Hinduism is the religion which is the third most practiced religion in the world. It is practiced in majorly in India as well as other countries in the world. It is a religion that is based on many different things. Some of the things that this religion is based on our philosophies, mythology, cosmology, and worshipping idols. Hinduism is a religion that believes in spirituality and traditions.

There are 33 (Coti) types deities in the Hindu religion. Hindu worship many of the different gods. One of the deities that Hinduism is Mother nature and its various elements like water, fire, and air. There are many shrines across the country for these Gods and Goddesses. Followers worship the sun, moon, and other elements like mountains, animals, and birds. 

The lifestyle of the Hindus is different from other religions. They believe in leading a vegetarian life with non-consumption of beef, non-violence, and the division of caste-based on birth. It is the ideal lifestyle that a Hindu can follow if he chooses to; otherwise, a Hindu can choose a lifestyle about which he is comfortable living.
