Wavelength : The distance between two consecutive compressions (C) or rarefactions (R) is called wavelength. Its SI unit is metre.
Frequency : The number of complete oscillations produced in one second is called frequency. Its SI unit is hertz (Hz).
Time Period : Time period of a wave is the reciprocal of its frequency.
i.e. T = 1/f (second)
Amplitude : The maximum displacement of particles from mean position is called amplitude.
Speed : The distance travelled by a wave in one second is called speed of wave.
Relationship between speed, frequency and wavelength :
speed (v) = frequency (f) x wavelength (λ)
