Yes, the median() function in R can handle missing values. By default, it ignores the missing values and calculates the median based on the available values. 

Here's an example code snippet:

# Create a numeric vector with missing values
data <- c(10, 20, NA, 30, 40)

# Calculate the median
median_value <- median(data)

# Print the median
print(median_value)
 

Output:

[1] 25
