Correct option is (b) 2 only

Adenoviruses are double-stranded DNA genomes. Retroviruses are single-stranded RNA animal viruses that employ a double-stranded DNA intermediate for replication. Option #1 is incorrect.

Common cold is a symptom of adenovirus. The retrovirus known as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) in humans. Option #2 is correct.
