G's position from left end

= A's position from the left end + 11 

= 16 + 11

= 27^th from left end.

G's position from right end.

= A's position from right end - 3

= 18 - 3

= 15^th from right end. 

Total number of boys in the row = (27 + 15) - 1 = 41.
