The haemoglobin from the red corpuscles of most mammals contains app. 0.33% of iron by weight. The physical measurement indicates the molecular weight of haemoglobin 7000. The  number of iron atoms in each molecule of haemoglobin is (At. wt. of Fe = 56)

Correct option is (c) 4

Weight of Fe per mole of haemoglobin = \(\frac{0.33 \times 7000}{100} \) = 23.1 g

Mole atoms of Fe = \(\frac{23.1}{56}\) = 4
