Substance abuse is a disorder that influences a person's brain and response and drives to an failure to regulate the practice of a legal or illegal drug or medication. It is also called as Drug addiction. Substances like cocaine, marijuana, nicotine, alcohol are considered drugs.

Practice of Substance abuse by a person hurts the family members and their closest person that has a ripple effect.

Substance abuse affects the person by causing  depression, anxiety, heart complications, liver disease, kidney dysfunction and cirrhosis of the liver.
