Best answer

Correct option is (B) -24

The Discriminant (D) of the Quadratic Equation  \(ax^{2}+b x+c=0 \) is

\(D=b^{2}-4 a c\)

Here, b = -4, a = 5, c = 2

Then,

\(D  =(-4)^{2}-4 \times 5 \times 2 \)

 = 16 - 40

 = -24
