Take a look at the problem carefully...  (x²+1)² - x² = 0

There is no way the left hand side of the equation is ever going to equal; there are no real solutions to this equation .

 (x²+1)² - x² = 0 

 (x²+1)² = x²      (add x² to both sides)

 x²+1 = x       ==>      x² - x + 1 = 0
