Correct option is (B) 4

Let \((\sqrt 3 + \sqrt 2)^{x^2 - 4} = t\)

\(t + \frac 1t = 10\)

⇒ \(t = 5 + 2\sqrt6, 5-2\sqrt6\)

⇒ \((\sqrt 3 + \sqrt 2)^{x^2 - 4} = 5 + 2\sqrt 6, 5 - 2\sqrt 6\)

⇒ \(x^2 - 4 = 2, -2\) or \(x^2 = 6, 2\)

⇒ \(x = \pm \sqrt 2, \pm \sqrt 6\)
