3. Four materials A, B, C \& D have the respective resistivity of \( 1.84 \times 10^{-6} \Omega m , 684 \times 10^{-8} \Omega m \), \( 1.62 \times 10^{-8} \Omega m \) and \( 100 \times 10^{-6} \Omega m \). The better conductor among them is (a) \( A \) (b) \( B \) (c) \( C \) (d) \( D \)
by (10 points)

Given:
A= 1.84 x 10-6 Ωm
B= 6.84 x 10-8 Ωm
C= 1.62 x 10-8 Ωm
D= 100 x 10-6 Ωm

From Table 12.2 in the NCERT Science Textbook,

A is Manganese
B is Nickel
C is Copper
D is Nichrome

So, Since the lower the resistivity, the better the conductor; Copper is the better conductor among the following options,
Hence,
Option (c) C is the correct answer.
