When we as consumers become conscious of one right while purchasing various goods and services, we will be able to discriminate and make an informed choice. Manufacturers display the required information on the goods or medicines we purchase because consumers have the right to be informed. Consumers can then complain and ask for compensation or replacement if the product proves to be defective in any manner. If I buy a medicine and come to know that the date has e expired, I shall ask for the replacement. Severe action can be taken against that chemist, selling expired medicines. I would prefer to lodge a complaint with the owner of the chemist shop. I would strongly protest this unethical and unfair business practice. If medicine is already given to the patient and it caused some side effects on him/her, it can land up the chemist in Jail also.
