A light ray is incident on a plane mirror, which after getting reflected strikes another plane mirror, as shown in figure. The angle between the two mirrors is 60º. Find the angle 'θ' shown in figure.

If light is incident on first mirro at angle ϕ  then

in triangle ABC

2.ϕ + [90–(30 + ϕ)] + θ = 180º 

2ϕ + 120 - 2ϕ + θ = 180º 

θ = 60º
