Displacement of the cyclist in half revolution is 

d = diameter of the circular track 

i.e., d= 80 m 

Time taken, t = 40 s

Average  velocity, V = \(\frac{Total\,displacement}{Total \, time}\) = \(\frac{80}{40}\)

v = 2 m/s
