If the length of a wire is doubled and its cross-section is also doubled than what happens its resistance?

Resistance of a wire 

R = \(\frac{pl}{A}\) ………. (1) 

l’ = 2l 

A’ = 2A 

∴ New Resistance

R' = l x \(\frac {2l}{2A}\)

R' = \(\frac{pl}{A}\) …….. (2)

Form (1) and (2) it is found that resistance remains unchanged.
