| 10 – 2x | > 6  ⇒  10 – 2x > 6 or – (10 – 2x) > 6 

⇒ –2x > 6 – 10 or 2x > 6 + 10 

⇒ –2x > – 4 or 2x > 16 

⇒ x < 2 or x > 8
