Let the CP be Rs 100

Profit (20%) = Rs 20

Therefore, SP = Rs (100 + 20) = Rs 120

If SP is Rs 120, CP = Rs 100

If SP is Rs 9600,

CP = 100/120 x 9600

= Rs 8000
