GIVEN:

Average age of Ashu and Amit 3 yrs ago = 20 yrs

Ashu age 5 years hence = 29 yrs

Amit's age = Ravi's age - 11

FORMULA USED:
Average = sum of observations/Total number of observations

CALCULATION:

Let present ages of Ashu and Amit be x and y respectively.

[(x - 3) + (y - 3)]/2 = 20

x + y = 46 yrs

Present value of x = 29 - 5 = 24 yrs

y = 46 - 24 = 22 yrs

Ravi's age = 22 + 11 = 33 yrs

required sum = 33 + 24 = 57 yrs

∴ The answer will be 57 years.
