Solve equations by using the elimination method.

3x + 4y = 25 

5x – 6y = -9

Given: 

3x + 4y = 25 ……. (1) 

5x – 6y = -9 …….. (2)

Substituting y = 4 in equation (1) we get 

3x + 4 × 4 = 25 

3x = 25 – 16 

⇒ x = 9/3 = 3 

∴ (3,4) is the solution for given pair of lines.
