Correct option is (d) 9.00

\(\frac{\text{Wt. of hydroxide}}{E_M + E_{OH^-}}= \frac {\text{Wt. of oxide}}{E_M+ E_O}\)

or, \(\frac{1.520}{E_M+17}= \frac{0.995}{E_M+8}\)

or, EM = 9.00
