Best answer

Correct option is (b) 14

The weight of element = 0.5 g

Weight of oxide = 0.79 g

Weight of oxygen = 0.29 g

0.29 g of oxygen combines with 0.5 g of elements.

8g of oxygen combines with \((\frac{0.5}{0.29})\) × 8 g = 13.73 g or 14 g.
