सिद्ध कीजिए कि निम्नलिखित समीकरण निकाय असंगत हैं
(i) 3x – y + 2 = 3

2x + y + 3z = 5

x – 2y – z = 1

(ii) x + 6y + 11 = 0

3x + 20y – 6z + 3= 0

6y – 18z + 1 = 0

(i) दिया गया समीकरण निकाय

3x – y + 2z = 3

2x + y + 3z = 5

x – 2y – z = 1

∴ ∆ = 0, ∆1 ≠ 0, ∆2 ≠ 0 तथा ∆3 ≠ 0

अतः समीकरण निकाय असंगत है तथा इसका हल सम्भव नहीं है। इति सिद्धम्।

(ii) दिया गया समीकरण निकाय ।

x + 6y + 11 = 0

3x + 20y – 6z + 3 = 0

6y – 18z + 1 = 0

दिए गए समीकरण निका को निम्न प्रकार भी लिख सकते हैं :

x + 6y = – 11

3x + 20y – 6z = – 3

6y – 18z = – 1

∵ ∆ = 0, ∆1 ≠ 0, ∆2 ≠ 0 तथा ∆3 ≠ 0

अतः समीकरण निकाय असंगत है तथा इसका हल सम्भव नहीं है।
इति सिद्धम्।
