Tropic Movements  Nastic Movements
1.Direction of response external stimuli is related to the direction of stimulus Non-directional growth movements.
2.These are curvature movements that occur due to changes in orientation in plant parts in relation to other like bending, twisting and elongation These are turgor movements caused mainly due to loss or gain of turgidity. 
3.Stimulus is generally unilateral eg. Phototropisn, chemotropism etc. Stimulus is generally diffused eg. Seismonasty, epinasty etc.

Nervous control Hormone control
1.It is rapid It is comparatively slow
2.It takes place through electrical signals called nerve impulses It take place through the transportation and action of hormones.
