Find equation of the line which is equidistant from parallel lines 9x + 6y – 7 = 0 and 3x + 2y + 6 = 0.

Given lines are

3x + 2y - 7/3 = 0 .....(1) (∵ 9x + 6y - 7 = 0)

2y + 6 = 0 ……………(2) 

Since the required line is equidistant from the parallel lines (1) and (2) then it is of the form, 

3x + 2y+ k = 0 …(3) 

Given that distance between (1) and (3) equal to distance between (2) and (3).
