Best answer

Correct option is (A) \(x - 5\)

Zeroes of the polynomial equate the polynomial to zero.

\(p(x)=0\)

(A) \(x-5\)

\(x-5=0\)

\(x=5\)

(B) \(x+5\)

\(x + 5 = 0\)

\(x = -5\)

(C) \(\frac 1{x - 5}\)

\(\frac 1{x - 5} = 0\)

\(1 = 0\)

(D) \(\frac 1{x +5}\)

\(\frac 1{x +5} = 0\)

\(1 = 0\)
