L.H.S. = \(\begin{vmatrix}y+z&x&y\\ z+x&z&x\\ x+y&y&z\end{vmatrix}\) 

C1 के सापेक्ष विस्तार करने पर,

= (x + y + z) [0 – 0 + (x – z) (x – z)]

= (x + y + z) (x – z)2 = R.H.S.
